Let 'em have it

ON the BBC this morning there's a story I'd like you all to read.

Put simply, methadone is worse for you than Heroin and has long term health implications where clean smack (diamorphine) does not. It is also more economical to give people diamorphine and the issue of brown-related crime disappears immediately in many cases. I've worked with over a hundred heroin addicts in the last eleven months and I'm convinced this is the way to go. We don't ply those hooked on white cider with white spirit, do we, so why meth up these folk when we don't have to? Answer - it is cheaper than other, better drugs, such as subutex. Well, if money is the issue, precribe diamorphine, then see a much larger amount of money saved in crime and harm reduction budgets nationwide.

Not that anyone really gives a damn, of course.
